The grand prize will be an iPad2. It will be awarded at 2 pm on May 22, 2013. To win, you must pre-register by May 20 and also check in on May 22. Need not be present to win. City of Waco employees and their relatives, and exhibitors are not eligible to win. Other door prizes include gift baskets, free hotel stays, and lots of other great items. Caterers will be serving delicious samples of their food.
What is the Meetings Marketplace?
The Meetings Marketplace is a tradeshow in its second year. It is a free event aimed at bringing together meeting, wedding, and event planners with the vendors they need for a successful event.
Who is invited to attend the Meetings Marketplace?
Anyone who plans a meeting is invited to attend. This includes those who plan meetings, conferences, events, weddings, quinceañeras, workshops, sporting events, and any other type of event. Attendees will be from corporations, non-profit groups, colleges. They may be volunteer planners or they may be full-time professionals.
How many event planners attend?
Last year, over 150 meeting and event planners attended the show.
How do I pre-register?
If you are planning a meeting or event, simply go to http://meetingsmarketplace.eventbrite.com to sign up. It’s free! Pre-registration by May 20 is required to be entered in the iPad drawing. However, many other door prizes will be awarded during the event, and these do not require pre-registration.
Last year’s exhibitors included Caterers, Hoteliers, Attractions, Venues, Decorators, Festivals & Events, Entertainers, Party Supply Companies, Regional Marketing Organizations, Florists, Sign Companies, Photographers, Packing/Shipping Companies, and Meeting Planner Publications.

How do I become aN EXHIBITOR?
Van Transportation from Dallas/Fort Worth
Van transportation must be requested by May 10, 2013. Contact: Jason Elliott at (254) 750-5726 or email@example.com. The central meeting place for the ride to Waco and back will be at the Baptist General Convention of Texas headquarters. The van will leave at 8:30 am. Donuts and coffee will be available. If the group would like to participate in the fam tour, we will leave after that has finished at 3:30 pm.
Please note we will not be supplying transportation from Austin this year.
9:45 am – Registration/Check In opens in upper lobby of Waco Convention Center. Must pre-register by May 20 and also check in on May 22 to be entered in grand prize drawing for iPad. (Note: onsite attendees are eligible for all door prizes except the iPad.)
10 am – Tradeshow Opens in Brazos Ballroom.
- Over 50 exhibit booths with area hoteliers, caterers, florists, decorators, and attractions.
- Plenty of food samples from Waco’s best caterers.
- Door prize drawings throughout the day. Fill out the Vendor Passport to be eligible for additional great prizes, including passes to Hawaiian Falls Waterpark and hotel stays!
11 am – 1 pm – Come-and-Go Buffet lunch in Brazos Ballroom. All day – Self-tours of the Waco Convention Center. Placards will be in each room or foyer area with amenities listed.
1:00 pm – 3:30 pm – Optional Tour of Area Attractions. Leaving from the parking lot in front of the Freedom Fountain area. Pre-registration required.
2:00 pm – Grand prize drawing of iPad! Need not be present to win!
