What is the Meetings Marketplace?
The Meetings Marketplace is a tradeshow in its fifth year. It is a free event aimed at bringing together meeting planners, sports event planners, and those planning weddings and other events with the vendors and contacts they need for a successful event.
Who is invited to attend the Meetings Marketplace?
Anyone who plans a meeting or event is invited to attend. This includes those who plan meetings, conferences, events, weddings, quinceañeras, workshops, sporting events, and any other type of event. Attendees will be from corporations, non-profit groups, colleges. Attendees may be volunteer planners or they may be full-time professionals.
How do I pre-register?
Watch here for registration to open in February or March, 2016.
What’s the Grand Prize?
The grand prize is an iPad. It will be awarded at 1:30 pm on May 4, 2016. You must pre-register by noon on May 3, and be present to win.
What About the Other Door Prizes?
Register the day of the event to receive a door prize ticket! You will also receive a Vendor Passport to get stamped by each exhibitor, which will earn you another door prize ticket, and increase your chances of winning. Other door prizes include gift baskets, free hotel stays, and lots of other great items. You MUST be present to win these any door prizes!
How many event planners attend?
Last year, over 260 meeting and event planners attended the show. The show has grown every year!
Who Will Be Exhibiting?
Possible exhibitors include Caterers, Hoteliers, Attractions, Venues, Decorators, Festivals & Events, Entertainers, Printers, Photographers, and Meeting Planner Publications. Exhibitors must be in a partner city (Waco, West, Hewitt, Bellmead, or McGregor), or be signed up as an Advantage Partner to exhibit.

9:00 am – Registration/Check In opens in upper lobby of Waco Convention Center. Must pre-register by noon on May 3, and also check in on May 4 to be entered in grand prize drawing for iPad.
10 am – Tradeshow Opens in Brazos Ballroom.
- Over 40 exhibit booths with area hoteliers, caterers, florists, decorators, and attractions.
- Plenty of food samples from Waco’s best caterers.
- Door prize drawings throughout the day. Fill out the Vendor Passport to be eligible for additional great prizes, including passes to area attractions and hotel stays!
- Must be present to win all prizes this year.
1:30 pm – Grand prize drawing of iPad! Must be present to win.
